COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

UP 100-Parent Orientation Seminar
This seminar is an introduction to the mission, goals, policies and procedures required of all parents who are admitted to the University. 0 UP Credit

 

UP 101-Digital Literacy in the 21st Century
This is a core course that focuses on reading comprehension using technology as a media and African American history as content. At least ten clock hours of instruction and learning by the parent are required in this course. 10 UP Credit Hours

 

UP 102-Socio-Emotional Wellness and Family Health
This is a core course that helps the parent understand the relationship of individual wellness to developing a healthy family. The course takes a holistic approach to wellness covering physical, mental and spiritual aspects. At least ten clock hours of instruction and learning are required for successful completion of the course. 10 UP Credit Hours

 

UP 103-Leadership for Family and Community
The goal of this core course is help parents to grow as individuals, parents and community members such that in the end they can pay it forward as leader in a manner they have chosen to do so. At least ten clock hours of instruction and learning are required for successful completion of this course. 10 UP Credit Hours
